Awful. Didnt get the same answers as other calculators.
Awful. Didnt get the same answers as other calculators.
Ive had this app since inception and could not be happier with it in terms of the value it provides for the cost. A must have for any BA-II Plus user! It is the full functioning version of the traditional calculator, just mobile, way cheaper than its counterpart, and much slower upon initial startup (See suggestions below). As noted in other reviews, all negative reviews regarding calculation errors do not apply and were results of calculator settings, just as preferences are set on the traditional calculator. SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE: 1) Eliminate time it takes to load calculator upon start-up. This delay keeps me using the standard preloaded iPhone calculator as my primary go-to calculator, then I end up toggling between the two depending on what functions I need. Annoying, but its clearly a robust app so hopefully this will improve over time as iPhone continues to upgrade their processors. 2) Offer the option (in iPhone General Settings) for users to have a simplified calculator to open as the default upon start-up for use as a "quick calculator", similar in look and operation to the standard iPhone calculator but that switches to BA II Plus with the tap of one (easy to find) button. To avoid making any changes to the calculator inconsistent with the original, Id propose tapping on the numbers display to return to simple calculation mode since it is a non functioning area if the screen. Also, return to the current screen its open in multi tasking. This way users could benefit from the larger buttons and less screen clutter, and ultimately so I would finally be able to quit having 2 of 20 apps on my home screen doing the same thing. Note: This would be a welcomed feature ONLY IF this addition was a user preference setting the could be turned on if desired. 3) Offer the BA II Plus Professional in the App Store and offer existing users the ability to purchase as an in-app upgrade (a feature that could be found in the quick calculator suggested above so no new buttons would appear on the calculator that would alter its replication from the BA II Plus. No one wants to see any buttons that shouldnt be there.) Thanks!
I bought the 12C when it first came out in 1981 because I was a Real Estate Broker. I broke or lost at least three of them. I still have a broken one. I switched to TI 59 ($300) because of my accounting degree. Found the programming easier than RPN for a non science major. As a RE Broker, the TI BA II had everything I needed for TVM so I sold the TI-59 in favor of the TI BA II. Features that I like: uneven cash flow, IRR, begin/end of month. Ive bought, used, broke or lost at least 6 BA II Calculators. I still have 2, including one that works. But I dont need it now because this app does everything the hardware calculator does and its always on my iPhone 3GS.
Error in mortgage calculations. I have compared identical calculations with my Texas Instrument calculator. The results on the Iphone version are always off. I have used my Texas Instrument for many years and love it. But the apple version does not work. What a waist of money. I hope they fix it soon.
It functions exactly the same as the actual calculator. Very useful.
This is really convenient and faster than the real thing (due to a touch interface being quicker than buttons).
I loved this calculator and it got me through many college business courses...so I was thrilled that I could get the iPad app...paid $15 but the mortgage calculations, etc. dont work...PLEASE fix!!! Thanks
I liked this app but it needs to be updated to support landscape mode. I also have the HP12c and it has the landscape mode. The app icon has to much going on. You should consider just putting your logo and make it more simple so it is easier to recognize.
How do I stop it from rounding!
The calculator itself is very good but needs a landscape mode. Lacking landscape mode is keeping this from 5 stars
Overall very good but very disappointed that the calculator only works in portrait mode (like an i-phone-only app). So when I have it on my keyboard, the calculator is on its side! Would give it 5 stars if it had landscape display. As it stands, they should be selling this as an i-phone app only. I suggest you get the 10bii Financial Calculator, it displays landscape!
Looks HORRIBLE now that Ive upgraded to IOS 8 on the iPad. You need to update this.
This app worked great until iOS8 and now it doesnt work on my iPad. It works fine on my iPhone on iOS8, but not my iPad. Not sure what needs to be fixed, but please do. It was worth the money, until now.
I love this app but after a week of not using it, I opened it to find that the buttons are way smaller and no longer looks like the actual calculator. I killed the app and opened it back up but it didnt fix it. This doesnt look right to me. Can some please fix this!?
Ever since I installed iOS 8 on my iPad the buttons suddenly became small and the number display litterally looks like it is cracked. Dont know if this is a bug in the applet or not. Upgrading to iOS 8.02 did not help. Very strange. Otherwise, this is a fantastic app. Great value for money.
The picture you see is not what the calculator looks like. Its an older picture of it and with iOS 8 the buttons are shrunk and the numbers that are displayed are very hard to read. DO NOT spend your money on this overpriced piece of crap. There are plenty of other apps for this.
As a financial advisor, Ive relied on the BAii Plus Financial calculator for many years. The ease of operation in calculating complex financial projections is beyond compare. However, this app does not properly display on my iPad since upgrading to IOS 8.0.2. It still works on my iPhone. Please update the app to fix this problem!!!
Works just light the real thing on my iPhone 5 and iPhone6. But since I updated my iPad mini to iOS8 it is unusable and unrecognizable. So it gets 5 stars for the iPhone but I think an update is needed for the now zero star iPad version.
Please add a setting for a less annoying button click. A short and instantaneous click/beep would be best. No longer works right with iOS 8.
What is taking so long?!? Fix the small numbers and screwed up display.
